John Fessler

John Fessler serves as HERAE's Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for aligning HERAE's resources to meet the needs of providers and payers.
John has twenty-five years experience in the healthcare industry focused on improving the efficiency of healthcare providers and payers. John began his career at Arthur Andersen and became partner in charge of the Healthcare Strategy Practice for the western United States during his twenty year tenure.
Prior to HERAE, John served as the President of Payer Services for MedUnite, a company founded to increase connectivity between payers and providers, where he was responsible for relationships with seven of the nine largest commercial health plans in the United States (Aetna, Anthem, CIGNA, Health Net, Oxford, PacifiCare, and Wellpoint).
John has a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from University of California, Berkeley as well as an MBA from Pepperdine University. |
Jim Ribelin

As Founder & EVP, Jim Ribelin is responsible for business development, marketing and public relations at HERAE.
Prior to joining HERAE, Jim was the Vice President, Product Management at Verilét/Abovehealth, a leader in providing web-based information on behalf of health plans for all their external constituents. Before Verilét/Abovehealth, Jim served as Senior Director of Product Strategy at MedUnite where he was responsible for a number of activities including the organization's product strategy.
Previous to MedUnite, Jim served as Director of iBusiness for NDCHealth. At NDCHealth Jim managed a number of multi-million dollar business relationships and worked with companies like Medscape and Viacom. Before NDCHealth, Jim held numerous positions at CIGNA Healthcare's southwest division, including work in Medical Economics and with CIGNA's first online provider web portal.

Michele Smith

As Chief Operating Officer, Michele Smith is responsible for internal operations, engineering and quality assurance at HERAE. She also oversees the customer support and product management teams that works closely with HERAE clients to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Michele has over 28 years in software development across various industries. Prior to joining HERAE, Michele was the Vice President of Engineering at Visual Sciences, a leader in web analytics, where she managed the development of key products that positioned the company to go public. Prior to that, Michele served as Senior Director of Engineering at Intuit where she was responsible for Internet shared services for all of Intuit's products. Previous to Intuit, Michele served as Director of Software Marketing for AST Computers managing multi-million dollar software contracts with Microsoft and IBM.
Michele holds a bachelor's degree in math/computer science from Arizona State University.
