HERAE (pronounced “hurray”) is providing a HIPAA-compliant, patent-pending payment system to Leslie Lung Consultants that processes HIPAA 835 transactions and facilitates processing explanation of benefits (EOBs), and money transactions from health insurers (payers) to its bank account electronically.

Sheila Barton, office manager of Leslie Lung Consultants says that she sees HERAE as a way to save time, money and energy in order to keep the focus on patients.

According to MEDCOM Senior Partner Janine McMurtrey, although results will vary by payer, Leslie Lung Consultants has already seen its average bill-to-deposit cycle reduced from 29 days to 16 days by implementing HERAE.
